Violence doesn’t kill dumb ideas — it embalms them, livestreams them, and sells them as T-shirts.

“Good evening, folks! Welcome to another episode of What the Hell Happened to Common Sense? Tonight’s theme: violence against speech — because apparently the best way to win an argument is to punch the other guy in the mouth. Nothing says ‘I respect democracy’ like acting out a bar fight during a lecture on free markets.”
Let’s start with the basics. The human brain? Supposedly the crown jewel of evolution. Billions of neurons, all buzzing around, capable of poetry, science, and building iPhones.
And yet it behaves like Play-Doh.
Squish it the same way enough times, and it keeps that shape forever. East Germany proved it. Decades of socialism trained people not to stick their necks out. Economists showed that even years later, East Germans were less likely to start businesses. They learned: “initiative = punishment, conformity = safety.” Basically, Pavlov’s dog with a PhD.
